Abstract
The influence of grazing intensity on the state of soils, vegetation, composition of arachnids, and land-nesting birds in arid-steppe ecosystems of the Manych Valley is discussed. It is shown that, with an increase in grazing intensity, the height of plants, projective cover, land phytomass, humus content, and soil humidity decrease, whereas the soil density increases in the surface layer, which entails a change in the structure of arachnid and bird communities.
