Abstract

An overview of the Green Data Books of Ukraine and various regions of Russia is given. A system of optimized criteria for the identification and estimation of rare plant communities is proposed (based on the example of the project “Green Data Book of the Bashkortostan Republic”). The possibilities of using these criteria for the assessment of forest and steppe communities in the Southern Urals are discussed.
