Abstract
The article presents the motion equations for ESG rotors with spin axes being in-plane and orthogonal to the orbital plane during the start. Motion equations are solved analytically using the deterministic drift model of a strapdown ESG, and effects of various physical factors on the motion parameters are investigated. The obtained solutions correlate well with flight test data.
