Biochemical processes and gas conditions in bogs of different geneses

  • Published:
Contemporary Problems of Ecology Aims and scope

Abstract

Biochemical processes forming the gas conditions in oligotrophic and eutrophic peat deposits in bogs of Western Siberia during vegetation periods of 2011–2013 have been studied. It has been shown that the dynamics of CO2 and CH4 formation in a peat deposit is controlled by microflora activity. Correlations of CO2 and CH4 emissions with gas conditions in peat deposits have been determined. Specific features of biochemical processes in oligotrophic and eutrophic peat deposits have been determined.
