The influence of preliminary thioetherification reaction on properties of epoxy adhesives modified by liquid thiocol

Abstract

It is shown that the preliminary thioetherification reaction between mercaptan groups and oxirane cycles promotes the increase of the complex of deformation-strength and adhesion properties of epoxy-thiocol mixtures cured at room temperature. To a greater degree, the effect is revealed for the factors of a specific impact viscosity and destruction and shear strength of the adhesive joints.
