Cases of spawn occurrence of fishes of the genus Squaloliparis (Osteichthyes: Liparidae) in crab traps in waters of southeastern Sakhalin

Abstract

The spawn of liparid fishes of the genus Squaloliparis (Scorpaeniformes: Liparidae) was found in crab traps in waters of southeastern Sakhalin. In some cases, the eggs were at the third and fourth stages of development. The period of development of the eggs did not exceed 94–96 h. The egg masses apparently belong to Squaloliparis dentatus.
