Fauchea guiryi Selivanova sp. n.: The first record of a species of the family Faucheaceae (Rhodophyta: Rhodymeniales) in the Far Eastern Seas of Russia

Abstract

Fauchea guiryi Selivanova sp. n. (Rhodymeniales, Faucheaceae) from the Commander Islands (Russian Pacific coast) is described and illustrated. The new species is compared with closely related taxa of the family Faucheaceae and the genus Fauchea, among them those from the Pacific coast of North America.
