Abstract
Fauchea guiryi Selivanova sp. n. (Rhodymeniales, Faucheaceae) from the Commander Islands (Russian Pacific coast) is described and illustrated. The new species is compared with closely related taxa of the family Faucheaceae and the genus Fauchea, among them those from the Pacific coast of North America.
