A review of the weevil genus Ptochus Schoenh. (Coleoptera, Curculionidae) of the fauna of Daghestan

Abstract

A review of, and a key to seven species of the genus Ptochus Schoenherr from Daghestan are given. Five new species from inner Daghestan are described: P. gulnarae sp. n., P. obrieni sp. n., P. korotyaevi sp. n., P. davidiani sp. n., and P. avaricus sp. n. Ectmetaspidus daghestanicus Formánek, 1908 is transferred to Ptochus.
