Federal and state statutory exemptions to At‐Will employment
Abstract
Outlines the “At‐Will” doctrine. Provides case law examples that have lessened the scope of this principle and charts the developments in this area. Discusses statutory exemption and provides recommendations for management to ensure compliance. Concludes that there is a need for management to implement policies and procedures to be able to show compliance and to ensure that they remain up to date with recent legislation.
