Abstract
Using data collected in the region of the resonance with the CLEO II detector operating at the Cornell Electron Storage Ring, we report on evidence for the production of and baryons in decays, with . This observation is based on and candidates from decays. We find the product branching fractions for , , and to be (2.1 ± 0.8 ± 0.7) × , (2.3 ± 0.8 ± 0.7) × , and less than 4.8 × at 90% confidence level, respectively. A study of the and momentum spectra indicates that decays to two-body final states with are suppressed.
