Abstract

The inclusive reactions p+Ap+X are studied in the framework of an evolution process in momentum degradation. All measured inclusive cross sections between C and Pb for all x values can be understood in terms of one basic degradation function which involves only one adjustable parameter. The inferred degradation length in nuclear matter is 17 fm.
