Abstract

The radiative decays of B* mesons are studied using a confined Coulombic model for heavy-light-quark bags, which contains also the effects of pion-exchange currents. The calculated widths of the B*→Bγ decay modes come out smaller than in simple quark models and in other previous calculations. The consequences of a possible anomalous magnetic moment of the b quark are mentioned.
