Abstract
It is shown that the requirement of having a fully spectator -dimensional generation structure, in the presence of a confining interaction, can be fulfilled in a conventional grand unified manner only provided . A possible origin for the exclusive smallness of , , and is then suggested by the global group-theoretical properties of the associated fermionic representation. The price of such a hyperleptonic scenario is briefly discussed.
