Effects of odd-parity components of the deuteron on inelastic polarized-electron—deuteron scattering

Abstract

We estimate the contributions to the asymmetry that arise from the parity-violating force between nucleons. For Q2=1 GeV2 the resulting asymmetry is about 104 times smaller than the one arising from the photon—Z-boson interference term.
