Abstract
It is argued, on the basis of (a) recent ideas of Feenberg on the representation of the wave function of a solid together with (b) the accurate equation-of-state data calculated by Shen, Sim, and Woo, that a system of Boltzmann neutrons interacting via the soft repulsive core of the Reid potential fails to crystallize at densities relevant to neutron stars.
