Abstract

The characteristics of the quasidiffusive transport of an initially broadband phonon distribution are obtained experimentally by vibronic sideband phonon spectroscopy and compared to the characteristics predicted theoretically. It is shown that the transport, which is governed by the simultaneous presence of elastic and anharmonic phonon scattering, has a number of distinctive features which differ to some extent from those observed for an initially monochromatic phonon distribution.
