Abstract
Resonant-transfer-excitation (RTE) cross sections are calculated for K-shell excitation in +He, +, and +He collision systems, and the results are compared with experiments. The RTE cross sections are obtained in the impulse approximation by averaging the corresponding dielectronic-recombination cross sections over the momentum distribution of the target electrons. Agreement is excellent for , but there are discrepancies in the case.
