Abstract

We have investigated the reaction $K^{-} p \to {\bar{K}}^{0} π^{+} π^{-} n$ with 6 GeV/c $K^{-}$ . We observe a statistically significant (6.6 standard deviations) peak in the ${\bar{K}}^{0} π^{+} π^{-}$ effective mass at 1692 ± 6 MeV with a full width $Γ = 26_{- 17}^{+ 24}$ MeV.
