dσdΩ for e+ehX from direct quark-lepton interactions

Abstract

dσdΩ for e+ehX is calculated for the most general electron-quark-heavy boson ("t-channel") or positron-quark-heavy boson ("u-channel") interaction together with the electrodynamic contribution using the naive parton model with collinear quark fragmentation to hadrons. No single S, V, T, A, or P exchange gives isotropic dσdΩ; V and A exchanges give closest to isotropic. Two linear combinations which give isotropic contributions from the direct quark-lepton interaction are given.
