Abstract

The cross section of the reaction 136Xe(n,2n)135Xe to both the ground state and the 526.6 keV isomeric states of 135Xe was measured between 9.0 and 14.9 MeV. These data are important to guide evaluations and theoretical calculations aimed at estimating the importance of neutron-induced background effects in searches for neutrinoless double-β decay of 136Xe.
