Abstract

Beta-ray end-point energies for Rb and La fission products were measured on an on-line mass separator using a hyperpure Ge β spectrometer. Coincidence measurements were used to establish feeding relationships and to verfy level schemes in daughter nuclides. Qβ values are reported for Rb88,94,96,98 and La146,148. Our results are compared with those from other experiments and with predictions of mass formulae.

RADIOACTIVITY Rb88,94,96,98, La146,148 [from U235(n, f)]; measured Eβ, Eγ, βγ, γγ coin; deduced Qβ mass excess. On-line mass separation, HpGe, Ge(Li) detectors.
