Abstract
Major difficulties associated with attempts to describe the (hyperon-nucleon) interaction in all -hypernuclear systems having by simple, effective and potentials are examined. The explicit dependence of the interaction associated with each system is explored, and the necessity of using exact four-body theory (in the system) to calculate small charge-symmetry-breaking effects in terms of potentials fitted to free scattering data is discussed.
