Abstract

Measurements of the anisotropy of magnetic susceptibility in antiferromagnetic chromium show that the magnetic symmetry of a single-polarization domain in the transverse spindensity-wave phase is orthorhombic, indicating the existence of anisotropic terms in the susceptibility in addition to the spin anisotropy predicted by simple theoretical models.
