Durcupan resin

54 g of single component A ( M epoxy resin; Sigma 44611; Sigma-Aldrich)

44.5 g of single component B (hardener 964; Sigma 44612; Sigma-Aldrich)

2.5 g of single component C (accelerator 960; Sigma 44613; Sigma-Aldrich)

10 g of single component D (Sigma 44614; Sigma-Aldrich)

In a fume hood, combine all components in a disposable beaker. Stir until well mixed. Aliquot into 20-mL portions and use immediately or store at -20ºC (for 6 mo) or at -80ºC (for several years) to slow polymerization. Aliquots can be freeze-thawed up to four times. Bake all waste at 70ºC for 24 h before disposing.

Durcupan ACM is also available as a set of all four components (Fluka 44610; Sigma-Aldrich). Each component has a long shelf life.
