Abstract
Concerning the validity of ratemeter correction procedures for data obtained under conditions including distortion, a recent letter by Vincent concludes that the authors' approach, previously published, would not give practical results. This is contrary to the authors' experience of such corrections in both field and laboratory studies, and the validity of their procedure is illustrated by the experiment described.
