Abstract
This paper embodies the results of the investigation of ultrasonic velocity, adiabatic compressibility and molar sound velocity R in solutions of benzoic acid, phthalic acid and salicylic acid in some organic liquids and its variation with concentration. Measurements of ultrasonic velocity were made by a precision double crystal interferometer method. Molar sound velocity of the three solutes obtained by extrapolating the R against molar concentration graphs were interpreted in terms of the method of bond and atomic velocity increments given by Lagemann and Rao respectively.
