Abstract
Gives explicit expressions of vertices of some relevant massless particles in Gepner's models (1988) of heterotic string compactifications. In addition, the author shows how the extra U(1) factors in the gauge groups can be broken down by taking the quotient of the theory by some discrete symmetries.
