Abstract
The outbreak of Chrysanthemum white rust in New South Wales and the subsequent eradication campaign is outlined. The failure of the eradication campaign was due to many factors including poor chemical control, possible aerial spread and poor grower co-operation. The economic impact of the disease is briefly outlined.
