Abstract

The efforts of Britain and Italy to normalize their political and economic relations after the Second World War, especially during the years of Clement Attleeā€™s Labour Government, offer an opportunity to examine reconciliation and reconstruction against the backdrop of austerity, a new economic post-war order and the onset of the Cold War.
