Publication History

Publication Date:
22 February 2005 (online)

Last year was an extremely successful year for Seminars in Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine. Aside from publishing six very well-received issues in 2004, we are now indexed in Medline. This should tremendously increase our visibility and boost our 2005 Impact Factor.

Independently of Medline, the 2003 Impact Factor had already increased by 28% compared with the previous year.

2005 should be an even more challenging year. The current issue on Sleep and Respiration is guest edited by T. Lee-Chiong Jr. and N. Collop. Several hot topical issues are forthcoming:

Emphysema, guest edited by F. Sciurba and F. Martinez

Pulmonary Complications of Hematological Disorders, guest edited by V. Poletti and U. Costabel

Lung Cancer, guest edited by P. Fidias and T. Lynch

Pulmonary Hypertension, guest edited by V. Tapson

Community-Acquired Pneumonia, guest edited by J. Lynch and T. File

I take this opportunity to present you with my best wishes for 2005, and I look forward to your continued interest in Seminars in Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine.
