Synthesis and thermal properties of Lu2Ti2O7 nano-wires

Abstract

Lu2Ti2O7 nano-wires were first synthesized by a modified molten salt technique. A large-scale synthesis of single-crystalline Lu2Ti2O7 nano-wires with average diameters of 200 nm, containing only minor amounts of impurities is reported. The isolated product is composed of cubic-phase Lu2Ti2O7 nano-wires with <111> oriented along their length.
