Peptides. Part XXVI. Analogues of gastrin containing leucine in place of methionine

Abstract

Syntheses of two heptadecapeptide analogues of the hormone gastrin, viz. [Leu15] and [Leu5,Leu15]-porcine gastrin I are described. Both compounds exhibit the full biological activity of the natural hormone.
