Metal–carbonyl and metal–nitrosyl complexes. Part VII. X-ray analysis of 1-aminonaphthalenetricarbonylchromium

Abstract

1-Aminonaphthalenetricarbonylchromium crystallizes in the orthorhombic system, with eight molecules in a cell of dimensions a= 14·88, b= 11·43, c= 13·96 Å. The space group is Pbca. The tricarbonylchromium moiety is located over the unsubstituted ring of the naphthalene, and the orientation of the carbonyl groups with respect to the aromatic ring resembles more closely the staggered configuration of benzenetricarbonylchromium than the eclipsed configuration of o-toluidinetricarbonylchromium.
