Facile chalcogenide elimination reactions: the crystal structures of [Pt{(Ph2PO)2H}{(Ph2PSeO)2H}]·1.25CHCl3 and [Pt3(Ph2PCH2CH2PPh2)3S2][(Ph2PSO)2H][OH]·0.5CH2Cl2
Abstract
Reaction of Ph2PSeOH with [PtCl2(PR3)2](PR3= PEt3 or PMe2Ph) gives [Pt{(Ph2PO)2H}{(Ph2PSeO)2H}]1, whereas the analogous sulfur compound Ph2PSOH with [PtCl2(dppe)](dppe = Ph2PCH2CH2PPh2) gives the bipyramidal Pt3S2 containing cluster [Pt3(dppe)3S2]2+.
