Fluorescence properties of the ketyl radical from 10,10-dimethylanthrone: an unusually long lived excited ketyl radical

Abstract

The excited state of the ketyl radical from 10,10-dimethylanthrone fluoresces with λmax= 560 nm and decays with a lifetime of 33 ns in toluene at room temperature.
