Transition metal–hydrogen–alkali metal bonds: syntheses and structures of W(PMe3)3H5Na(15-crown-5), W(PMe3)3H5K(18-crown-6), and [W(PMe3)3H5Li]4

Abstract

Treatment of W(PMe3)3H6 with BunLi, NaH, or KH gives W(PMe3)3H5M, M = Li, Na, or, with the appropriate crown ethers W(PMe3)3H5Na(15-crown-5) and W(PMe3)3H5(18-crown-6): the crystal structure of the crown ether compounds of sodium and potassium and of [W(PMe3)3H5Li]4 have been determined.
