CCHPh)(PPri3) has been prepared from [C6H6Osl2]2via alkynyl(iodo)-, vinyl(hydrido)-, and vinyl(halogeno)-osmium compounds as precursors; it reacts with sulphur, selenium, and CuCl by electrophilic addition to the OsC bond.
