Interaction of hydrogen with hexakis(trimethylsilylmethyl)-µ-trichlorotriangulo-trirhenium(III); the X-ray crystal structure of nonakis-(trimethylsilylmethyl)hydrido-µ-hexachloro-hexarhenium. New types of rhenium(II) alkyls

Abstract

The interaction of hydrogen with the triangulo-trirhenium complex, Re3(µ-Cl)3(CH2SiMe3)6, leads to new types of cluster alkyls: Re6(µ-Cl)6H(CH2SiMe3)9(whose structure is determined by X-ray diffraction), Re6(µ-Cl)6H6(CH2SiMe3)6, and Re6(µ-Cl)6(CH2SiMe3)6.
