Synthesis of H3Ru3(CO)9CCH3, a ruthenium ethylidyne complex

Abstract

A ruthenium ethylidyne complex, H3Ru3(CO)9CMe, has been obtained from the reaction of α-H4Ru4(CO)12 with ethylene; spectroscopic data indicate C3v symmetry with bridging hydrido-ligands.
