Oxidative dehydrogenation of diamine ligands co-ordinated to low-spin iron(II)

Abstract

The reaction of tetracyanodiamineiron(II) species with oxidizing agents yields transient iron(III) species which undergo metal-ion-assisted oxidative dehydrogenation of the amine ligand.
