Highly oxidized diiron complexes: generation, spectroscopy, and stabilities

Abstract

Oxidation of the diferric complex [LFeIIIOFeIIIL] to the monoradical complex [LFeIIIOFeIIIL˙]+ and the diradical complex [L˙FeIIIOFeIIIL˙]2+ is followed by a decay into monomeric complexes including a highly reactive putative [LFeIV[double bond, length as m-dash]O] complex.
