Tuning metal coordination number by ancillary ligand steric effects: synthesis of a three-coordinate iron(ii) complex

Abstract

The coordination number of the metal in iron(II) β-diketiminate complexes can be tuned through the size of the alkyl substituents on the ligand backbone.
