Optimisation of the analytical conditions for the determination of aluminium in human blood plasma or serum by graphite furnace atomic-absorption spectrometry. Part I. Examination of the various analytical conditions

Abstract

The behaviour of the aluminium absorbance signal obtained from standard uncoated and pyrolytically coated tubes, and the L'vov platform inserted into a pyrolytically coated tube was examined in the presence of three inert sheath gases, hydrogen and various chemical modifiers. Methods of calibrating the spectrophotometer using each furnace type are presented, and the usefulness of the aluminium absorption line at 396.2 nm for this determination was investigated.
