Abstract
THE first comprehensive X-ray analysis of polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) showed that the thirty observed reflections could be indexed according to a pseudo-orthorhombic cell1. Bunn2 later proposed a monoclinic unit cell conprising two molecules lattice parameters: a = 7.81 Å; b = 2.52 Å; c = 5.51 Å; β = 91° 42′.
