Control of Chemical Pollutants

Abstract

Concern for environmental quality and consumer safety is burgeoning, and some classic assumptions of industrial society are being challenged. Now that apparent conflicts have developed between the needs for continued economic growth and environmental management it is timely to review some of the basic problems of chemical pollution, to develop methods for anticipating and detecting hazards and to consider mechanisms for more effective management.
