Proton Magnetic Resonance and the Helix–Coil Transition

Abstract

The molecular weight of polypeptides has a marked effect on the nuclear magnetic resonance manifestation of the helix–coil transition. The technique can be used for absolute determinations of helix contents and compared with optical rotatory dispersion data.
