Abstract
S-NITROSOHEXANE-l-THIOL, CH3(CH2)5SNO, and di-(S-nitroso)hexane-1,6-dithiol, ONS(CH2)6SNO, were prepared by the method reported by Saville1. Their electronic spectra in hexane solution were measured and were found to be similar to the spectrum of S-nitrosotoluene-α-thiol2. The relevant data are presented in Table 1.
