Histochemical Evidence of 5-Hydroxvtryptamine in a Dog Mast Cell Tumour

Abstract

MAST cells of dogs are said not to contain 5-hydroxytryptamine1–4. Furthermore, this substance has not been found in neoplasms of these cells in dogs5. An instance of a dog mast cell tumour is reported here, however, in which there was histochemical evidence of the presence of 5-hydroxytryptamine.
