Abstract

The influence of zosterin-pectin of the seagrass Zostera marina on the content of DNA and RNA in rat hepatocytes under normal conditions and with lead contamination has been studied. It was shown that zosterin increases the share of the high-ploidy (8c) nuclei and the content of the nuclear RNA of the intact animals and, against a background of toxicant action, normalizes the ratio of the ploidy classes and further increases the RNA mass.
