Abstract
The Baikalian Alona setosocaudata Vasiljeva & Smirnov, 1969 (Chydoridae, Anomopoda, Branchiopoda) is redescribed, based on the type and on additional material. Unlike another Baikal endemic, A. labrosa Vasiljeva & Smirnov, 1969, A. setosocaudata is typical Alona. A close relationship between A. setosocaudata and A. quadrangularis (O. F. Müller, 1785) is revealed.
